The Venue has received a national grant that will help provide an enhanced experience for visiting musicians, patrons, and staff.
The Venue, a live music space in downtown Aurora, has received a national grant that will help provide an enhanced experience for visiting musicians, patrons, and staff.
The performance space was one of 31 grant recipients nationwide from Live Music Society, a non-profit that helps small venues and listening rooms across the country.
Live Music Society awarded The Venue with $6,000 for adding acoustic improvements to the room, replacement of lighting equipment, and the purchase of additional backline equipment.
"These additions will address practial needs related to elevating the live music experience at The Venue," said Karen Fouts, executive director of the Fox Valley Music Foundation, the non-profit organization that operates The Venue..
The Venue opened in 2019, and is owned and operated by the Fox Valley Music Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to local music awareness, education, and preservation.
